Murder Mystery Set for February 20

The Royalton Player will hold its murder mystery event on Saturday, February 20 at 7pm at the North Royalton Arby’s Restaurant. Tickets for the event are $20, which include the show, an all-you-can-eat buffet and prizes for those tables who guess the correct suspect.

Writer and Director Chuck Poliafico says the premise of the murder mystery, titles “Murder of the Love Brothers”, focuses on an aging boy band of brothers who were all murdered in the same house on Valentine’s Day last year. The suspects, including the band’s agent, a crazed fan and their twin, are all females or are dressed up as females. The victims are played by Mike Sonby, Michael Settle and Brett Bajec. The suspects will be played by Sonby, Katie White-Sonby, Mary Manos-Mitchem, Alexis Mitchem, Mike Yonkura, Dave Estvanko, and Elizabeth Hoffman.

Because seating is limited at Arby’s, it is advised that tickets be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at Arby’s, across from the theatre on Route 82 (Royalton Road). Or for more information, call the Royalton Players Hotline at 216.556.0415 or e-mail at rplayerstheatre@aol.com.

The 1987 hit movie bursts onstage in this vibrant, funny and touching musical. When frustrated adolescent Josh Baskin wishes he were "big" and wakes up the next morning a 30-year-old man, he discovers there's much more to being an adult than he's bargained for-and learns we must all grow up at our own pace, in our own time.

A witty, moving, insightful book by John Weidman ("Pacific Overtures," "Assassins") and a dazzling, energetic, heartfelt, contemporary score by David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr. ("Baby," "Starting Here, Starting Now," "Closer Than Ever") makes this already classic motion picture fantasy an unforgettable theatrical experiencebefore

A Special Note from the Royalton Players

As many of you are aware. Our “theatre” was recently sold by the Masons to the Southwest Unitarian Universalist Church. The Unitarians will be renovating the building this coming spring, so the Royalton Players will not be performing there once the production of “Big the Musical” has concluded. However, that does not mean we are going completely dark.

If your company or group would like a Murder Mystery performance for an event, the Royalton Players will be able to fulfill your needs. Contact Chuck at 440-877-0009 or e-mail Mike at rplayerstheatre@aol.com and an RP rep will contact you with more information. We can cater a Murder Mystery to any occasion.

Also, check this website for possible production(s) during the summer months at other venues!

A Special Note:

The Royalton Players would like to welcome the Southwest Unitarian Universalist Church, who bought our building from the North Royalton Masons. Here’s to a long and fruitful relationship not only with the Royalton Players, but with the North Royalton community as well.

The Unitarians will be renovating the building sometime in 2010. Therefore, after “Big The Musical” has closed, the Royalton Players will not be doing any productions from that locale until after the renovations have been completed.

That does not mean we will be going dormat. We will be doing murder mysteries and perhaps a play or two in temporary locations while the renovations are underway. Keep posted to this website for any audition dates and/or murder mysteries we will be conducting during the course of the next year and beyond.

Stay tuned for auditions notices for our 2009-10 Season!.
